The SOAPure Story
Acne, persistent skin dryness, redness, and even scaling had family members always scouring for bath items, salves, lotions and potions in the clinics of dermatologists, the shelves of drugstores, branded (and we must say, expensive) beauty shops, and definitely the supermarkets.
It was frustration after disappointments with so many popular soap brands that led Arni Marie Maniego to take matters into her own hands. And it was in their farm kitchen in Nueva Ecija, Philippines on 10 October 2010 that she made the family’s first bars of Castile (olive oil) soap, which she read to be the best skin cleanser of the European royalty dating back to the 11th to 12th centuries.
“Our very first homemade Castile soap soon became the family’s proven solution to skin problems before the item was shared with friends, and then with the rest of SOAPure users years later,” quipped Arni, SOAPure’s olive oil soap- designer and maker.
SOAPure combines the ancient Spanish formula for the soap of royalty with the family members’ preference for the simple and the natural in terms of effectiveness and aesthetics. As SOAPure’s base of users widened, Arni and the rest of the production team continue to discover and develop more products that cater to the connoisseur tastes of their clientele.
At SOAPure, we say we do not need the lab-born surfactants, preservatives, and plasticizers that trigger skin flare-ups. These chemicals simply need to go if we want to reclaim the beautiful skin we were born with, to enjoy our youth, and especially if we want to age gracefully.
And the rest, as we say, is history.
